Petparazzi Pet Photo Contest
April 1st-13th

Does your pet have the cutest smile? Most photogenic face? The prettiest eyes? Your phones and cameras are filled with photos of your pets, show us your best! PHS will be hosting our 2nd annual Petparazzi Pet Photo Contest starting April 1st at 8:00am.

Enter your photos online for free and encourage family and friends to vote for your entries and raise funds for our shelter animals! 

There is no limit to how many entries you can submit. Each vote is $1 and the more votes your photo receives the higher your chances of winning a grand prize or fun contest prize. Break out your camera’s and stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter accounts for contest details and updates. The more you vote the more our shelter animals win! Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs!
Saturday, April 8th from 12-2pm

Join us for Wag Hotels’ 8th annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs on Saturday, April 8th from 12-2pm at Red Morton Community Park in Redwood City. Enjoy finger foods and local vendors while your dog sniffs out eggs filled with tasty treats and valuable prizes. Don't forget your camera for photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny!

This fun event is great for dogs, kids, and adults alike! Easter attire is always encouraged, and dogs and children (under 12) enter for FREE! Tickets are $15 with 100% of ticket and raffle ticket sales benefiting

"Be Kind to Animals Week" Art Contest
Artwork due the week of April 23-30.

In honor of Be Kind to Animals Week (May 1st - May 5th), Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA's Humane Education Department is hosting an art contest!

Open to San Mateo County students in grades 1-12, we're asking students to create artwork showing how to treat ALL animals with kindness, compassion & respect.


  • Artwork should be on paper no larger than 28x22."
  • The back of your artwork should be labeled with: Name / Address / School & Grade / Contact Email & Phone Number.
  • Drop off artwork during regular business hours to the Lants Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, during the week of April 23-30.
Winners will be announced during "Be Kind to Animals Week" May 1-5.

Winning artwork will be posted on our website, facebook and displayed in our shelter.
