Beginner Level Obedience Classes

Starting Dates

Our Beginner Level training classes are 6-week courses where you and your dog attend 1 hour of training on that set day and time. Cost is $130 for the general public/$85 for PHS adopted dogs. Below is a listing of classes by their start date

Companion Dog Level 1 (Dogs 6 months and older)

For dogs 6 months and older. Whether you've just adopted and want to get off on the right paw, orneed a refresher, this class is for you. You will teach/master hand signals and commands (sit, down, come, heel, stay, leave it) and teach your dog to wait at doorways and walk politely on leash.

Family Style: It’s a Family Affair when it comes to training! A family that trains together, stays together! This obedience course is designed for parents and their kids to attend and participate with the family dog. Parents will be instructed on how to encourage their kids to interact with the family dog in an appropriate and safe manner. Toddlers are welcome too!

Barkers Anonymous: a basic obedience course designed for BARKY dogs and owners who accept that their dog is barky and want to improve. The course will cover basic obedience exercises catered to “vocal” canines. The course focuses on teaching owners and their canines to stop the fuss and work on trust!
