The PHS/SPCA Wildlife Care Center treats about 4,000 sick and injured wild animals every year from San Francisco through northern Santa Clara County. Facilities include raptor and songbird aviaries, a diving pool for sea birds, a duck pond, and mammal enclosures. Additionally, various species of orphaned birds and mammals are raised until old enough to survive on their own. The care and expertise of trained staff and volunteers ensures these animals are rehabilitated and released back into the wild.  PHS/SPCA is among just a handful of humane societies or SPCAs nationwide that includes wildlife care and rehabilitation work among its primary services. And, this vital work is made possible by generous donations.

If you see a wild animal in distress, please call:
Peninsula: PHS/SPCA Burlingame Office 650/340-7022
South Bay: PHS/SPCA Palo Alto Office (closed for winter months - location reopening March 5, 2012) 650/494-7283 or Palo Alto Animal Services 650/329-2413
San Francisco: San Francisco Animal Care and Control 415/554-6364

If you have questions or encounter specific problems, please contact our Wildlife Care Center at 650/340-7022 x314.
