Join The PHS/SPCA Auxiliary |
About the Auxiliary : The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA's Auxiliary was founded in 1988 to help fund the shelter's various programs. Through funds raised by their Annual Gala Auction, the Auxiliary has raised more than $1,000,000 for such worthy programs as the Spay/Neuter Clinic, education programs for children and teachers, expanded shelter hours and more! In recent years, auction proceeds have benefited the shelter's Hope Program, which provides medical care and behavioral attention for the neediest animals so they, too, can have a second chance they deserve.
Commitment - The Auxiliary holds a monthly, morning meeting in the PHS/SPCA auditorium every fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month. The main function of the group is to coordinate our Home for the Holidays Gala Ball & Auction, which raises valuable funds and makes the Hope Program possible. The event will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City.
How to Join - Members are welcome to join year round! More members mean a bigger event and even more assistance for the shelter animals. There are 2 types of membership, Supporting Member, who does not attend the meetings for $35/year and Active Member, who does attend meetings for $25/year.
