Dog Day Mornings

Every Saturday

Do you have a dog who's a social butterfly? Or maybe a dog who's a little shy or nervous? Do you like dog parks but sometimes feel uncomfortable being there? Then have we got a program for you and your canine companion!

At Dog Day Mornings dogs romp and play off-leash in a supervised atmosphere every Saturday morning, rain or shine. There are two sessions -- 9:30 am to 10:30 am for dogs all shapes and sizes and a 10:30 am to 11:30 am class reserved for just small dogs. All dogs must be current on their vaccinations, have attended a basic obedience class and all dogs 6 months and older must be altered. Pet Loss Support Group

2nd Thursday of Each Month

Our animal companions can be our truest, most steadfast friends. Their love is unconditional, their loyalty unfailing. When they die, it is natural to feel grief and sadness, even depression.

If you need extra support at this difficult time, our free Pet Loss Support Group is here, with an open ear and an understanding heart.

The group is facilitated by experienced grief counselors and meets at 7 pm, the second Thursday of each month in the PHS/SPCA Adoption Lobby. Reservations are not necessary.

Vaccination and Microchip Clinics

1st Wednesday of Each Month
6:00 - 8:00 pm

We hold Vaccination Clinics on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in our Auditorium. These low-cost clinics provide vaccinations for rabies, canine distemper, FVRCP and DHLPP, as well as microchips -- a permanent form of companion animal identification. Obedience Classes

Whether you've just adopted a dog and want to get off on the right paw, or you want a refresher course for your longtime companion, PHS/SPCA companion dog training courses are ideal. We offer year-round obedience classes (except during December). Classes are 6 or 8 one-hour sessions and limited to 12 dogs. Discounts are available for PHS/SPCA members, for dogs adopted from PHS/SPCA, and for seniors.
